A few years ago when I was doing a lot of running I came across this podcast. I had made myself a student of the sport. I was doing all I could to get faster and be able to go longer. The Idea that the process had be difficult for me to see progress made a big difference to me. I have shared this with a lot of people, I hope it makes a difference for you as you work to achieve your goals.
I’m kind of proud of this one. This is the first full plate I have cut in a long time. The Chase family crest. Now I’m ready to print. #ChaseFamily #DougChase #ChaseLegacy #Printmaking #Linocut
I have always loved making Linocut Prints. The feeling I get when I pull a new print is kind of magical to me. It’s like hitting the sweet spot on a baseball bat, or knowing that shots going to go in the second It leaves your fingertips. I found a few plates that I cut years ago today and decided to make a few prints. They are not great because I have no printing press and the ink I have isn’t the best. In any case, it was fun to feel that feeling.
I just finished this little painting while I’m gearing up to do a bunch of linocuts. It was painted at the Oak tree in Green River so if there are little hairs in the paint I can’t guarantee that they are from the paint brush. Up, Locker, Westside. #king #painting #blackandwhite
